Ingredients

  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 onion
  • 40g olive oil
  • 2 small carrots
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1/2 red capsicum
  • 75g frozen peas 
  • 100g red wine
  • 1 kg red potatoes peeled & diced (i prefer to peel mine but many people don't)
  • if you don't want potatoes use celeriac or sweet potato
  • 1 tsp beef stock
  • 1 jar pasta sauce
  • 1 tbs vegetable stock
  • 1/2 - 1 cup water or milk
  • Your choice of cheese

 

  1. Place onion into your bowl & chop for 2 seconds speed 6. Scrap down & add 20g oil & cook for 3 minutes 100 degrees speed 2. While this is cooking chop your veggies
  2. Place your veggies (except peas) pasta sauce, beef stock & wine into your bowl & chop for 10 seconds speed 5. 
  3. Place simmering basket on top of your sauce & break up your minced meat into the simmering basket.
  4. Place your Varoma with potatoes or celeriac inside & place into position cooking for 30 minutes Varoma temperature speed 2.
  5. Turn your oven on to 180 degrees. Set your potatoes aside while you carefully tip your mince into your sauce using your spatula. Add your frozen peas & mix on REVERSE for 10 seconds speed 3. 
  6. Pour your meat sauce into a large oven proof rectangle dish.
  7. DO NOT CLEAN YOUR BOWL! 
  8. Add butterfly to your bowl then tip potaotes around. Add remaining 20 g oil & vegetable stock and mix while adding milk or water to the desired consistency.
  9. Scoop on top of your meat sauce then sprinkle with desired amount of cheese.
  10. Cook until brown around 15 minutes.
